Privacy
This site has no accounts and no advertising, and it sets no cookies of its own. Here is everything we collect, why, who handles it for us, and how long we keep it.

Who we are
RiverTown Table is edited by Safari Svensson and built and run by Svensson Systems. For anything on this page, including a request to see, correct or delete your information, email [email protected].
Reading the site
You can read every guide without giving us anything. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, doesn't follow you across other sites and doesn't build a profile of you. We see totals, such as how many people read a page, not who they are.
Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor isn't an automated attack; it isn't used for tracking or advertising.
Clicks to restaurants
Links to a restaurant's website pass through our own address first, so we can count how many readers each listing sends to its restaurant. We record which restaurant was clicked and which of our pages the click came from, and nothing about who clicked. These counts are kept for about three months.
Forms for restaurants
If you use one of our forms for restaurants, we store what you send, including your name, role, email address and any phone number you give, in our database on Cloudflare. A copy is emailed to our inbox through Resend, the service we use to send email. We use your contact details only to confirm what you sent and to reply. Requests for website help are passed to Svensson Systems, who build this site; nothing else is shared.
Form submissions are deleted automatically 12 months after they arrive, or sooner if you ask.
Newsletter
If you sign up, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, and when you confirmed. We send you one email, through Resend, asking you to confirm; nothing else is sent until you click its link. Signups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days.
Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all newsletters. We keep an unsubscribed address only as a record that it must not be emailed again, and we'll delete even that if you ask. We don't sell, rent or share the list. If we move it to a newsletter service, this page will name the service first.
Emailing us
If you email us, we keep your message so we can reply and fix what you report. We don't share it or add you to any list.
Who handles data for us
- Cloudflare hosts the site, runs its database, counts visits and clicks, and keeps server logs.
- Resend sends our form notifications and newsletter confirmation emails.
- Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools tell us how the site appears in search results. They don't track you on this site.
Each handles data under its own privacy policy. We don't use any advertising networks, and we don't sell or share personal information.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We'll answer within 30 days, and we don't need anything from you beyond the email address involved.
Links to other sites
Restaurant websites, menus and booking pages we link to are run by the restaurants and other companies, under their own privacy policies.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us something, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
The site is served only over encrypted connections, and only the editor can see form submissions and the newsletter list.
Changes
If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects the newsletter, we'll tell subscribers before it takes effect.
